Hall and landing
Staircases
A new staircase, new spindles and a handrail for the one you have, or a rail along the wall. We measure the floor-to-floor height and the space at the top and bottom, then draw the stair to your hall before any timber is cut.

Building Regulations
A new staircase has to meet them. We explain the rules that apply to yours, such as step heights, handrail height and the gaps between spindles.
Listed and older houses
Changing a stair in a listed building usually needs consent. Check with your council before you commit.
Living with the work
We talk through how the fitting is done, and how long the stair will be out of use, before you decide.
Questions
Can you match the spindles I have now?
Do you take the old staircase away?
