About us
A workshop that measures, makes and fits
Thornfield Joinery is a joinery workshop in Halifax, making kitchens, fitted furniture, staircases and windows for houses across Calderdale and West Yorkshire. The same people measure the room, make the joinery and fit it.
This page shows how a client's own story is presented. Thornfield Joinery is fictional, so no names, dates or credentials are given.

When the person who measures your room also makes the joinery, nothing gets lost between the visit and the bench. You have one number to ring, from the first visit to the last fixing.
We measure it ourselves
We don't work from someone else's sizes. Every job starts with a visit to the house.
You see it drawn first
You see how it will sit in the room before any timber is cut, and you can change your mind on paper.
It's made for one house
Old walls lean and floors slope. Each piece is made for its room and scribed to fit on the day.
